Making projects fit attractively and positively with their surroundings is central to EDA's mission. In environmental management, we seek to find a common ground between the client, the community and the environment. To do this, creative approaches are used for projects in planning and environmental management and visual resource management. EDA's experience in natural resource based planning, design and management ranges from regional resource assessments to site specific analysis to land use suitability assessments. We take a broad view and include as key components: community consultation, biophysical reviews for environmental impact, detailed site analysis for the needs of users, and market and economic analysis for the appropriate level of development. In-house expertise is complemented with other specialty professionals to bring an array of viewpoints and considerations to a project. This allows EDA to look beyond the ordinary to find sustainable development solutions.
